LB Lancer 4G36 Engine Conversion

Hi, I've currently got a LB lancer with a 4G36 1200 in there. it's pretty gutless.

I've never done an engine conversions before but I was hoping to go to the 1.6 or maybe the 1.8 .

Are there any tips/tricks I should know? I've done a brief search and people say some engines bolts straight in, does anyone know what my options are?

Thanks in advance!

Adam

4g63 SOHC , bolts in, even bolts to to the gerbox you have but would suggest getting a 5speed to go with it. Easy as.

Many people on here have done it before.

ahh that'll be nice. I was actually hoping to not get a cert on the car, going from 1.2 to 2L may be too big a jump i think... would the 1.6 version bolt in too?

Any capacity increase will require a cert so you might as well go as big as you can with an easy conversion.

Or you could put a good motor in it instead.
