matred
What stud are vk commodores. I'm thinking of buying one without wheels and I've just got some 5x120 steel rims to put on. I've read somewhere that 4 cylinder vk's are different than a 6 cylinder.
CUL8R
4 cylinder is 5/108 - shared with Torana's, HT-K-G Holdens (some Saab/Volvo's also) - Pretty much sfa aftermarket options. 6 cyl and V8 are 5/120. Not to be confused with 5/120.65 - Which is actually Chev (HQ-HZ/WB Holden) 5/4.75" Chris.
matred
How is it measured, do you measure from middle of stud to the one opposite. My ones are close to 108mm across them like that.
spiderwebfx
No. It's measured as PCD. It's the distance from the center of one hole, to the direct opposite side of the circle (half way between the two opposite studs). If you've measured 108 from stud to opposite stud, it's most likely 5x120. Edit/ this give a rough guideline to get the PCD with two adjacent studs: http://www.wheelfitment.eu/what-is-the-PCD/
Raizer
Apparently measuring like this gets you pretty close
matred
Yea I measured it like that and they are 5/120.
Threeonthetree
As Chris said, the four cylinder VK Commodores share their PCD with the pre-HQ Holdens, that's 4.25" (or 107.95 in millimetres) The six and eight Cylinder VKs have a 5x120mm stud pattern. Holden used the 5x120mm stud pattern for all Commodores. Pre-VE wheels will bolt on directly to any pre-VE Commodore , VE wheels will need the centre bore machined by 2mm from memory. matred
So wheels of a hq are 5/108?
matred
Don't worry just seen you said pre hq.
