Saturday has smaller crowds but the gnarly classes only have one race each I think plus racing doesn't really get exciting till midday as the morning is mostly qualifying. Sunday has bigger crowds and more racing plus the gnarly classes have 2 races each but sometimes depleted fields from incidents on Saturday. If you leave Wellington at a reasonable hour and don't think you will get there till late morning then go Saturday.
