Slacker_Sam.
I just passed a wof today & on my way back from the wof place my old volvo coughed a couple of times and died. Its got the B200 MPFI motor. I have checked all the fuses & the fuel pump is working. There is no spark at the plugs or directly from the coil. It runs an optical sensor from the flywheel directly to the Renix ignition module/coil unit. Anyone have any ideas? Cheers
77magnum13hundy
Test coil and power to coil got a voltmeter or test light? If it has power to coil then trigger would be next piece to check.

Slacker_Sam.
Yeah. Next port of call is check power feed at the renix unit. If there is power I'll check the crank angle sensor for corrosion on the pick up. I don't think its got a cam angle sensor. Hopefully its just a corroded connection from sitting in the garden for a year.

RUNAMUCK
Renix module= fail city. Mum's volvo has been through two of them. Somewhere at 360mania(?) is a pom who thinks renix are good has a flowchart for testing them. Everyone else knows they suck.
