Matteybean
Hi I'm buying a workshop manual of trademe Link http://www.trademe.co.nz/621706371 Is that right one ?
Spencer
That manual at a glance is for R & T series engines and doesn't say anything about chassis series, I would steer clear. Try find factory ones, they are always 100 times better than aftermarket manuals

Matteybean
It will do ? Are there better ones than this ?
Spencer
Mate those haynes manuals cover the basics and should help you out. I don't think it will be easy to find one but a factory Toyota manual goes into allot more depth, it may not be worth chasing one though these cars aren't overly complex. xsspeed
Get the haynes and keep an eye out for a factory toyota one, the haynes one takes a lot of info from the factory manual anyway (just not as in depth). It will get you started well/might be all you need.

Bling
Buy that^^ I tend to buy the books for cars I own (factory manuals), and they just sit on the shelf while I wing it and hope for the best. Quickest way to learn, both the right and wrong way to get things done. As has been mentioned, the Toyota manual will be the one to get ideally. I got later model corona manuals from aussie, so if you're set on a proper manual, you may need to look overseas too. Just get in there, she'll be right. If you're just wanting to know how to do the basics, try youtube. There will be 50 videos on every possible car related task you can think of. Some are rubbish, while others give great step by step instructions on how to get things done.
