nzstato
Just bought an old Landy with a Nissan 3.3 diesel in it and would be keen on having a tacho to gaze at. Thing is bloody loud so no problem telling when to change gears but would be interested to see revs at highway miles as may be looking to different diff ratios in the future. How do i do it? Bit of a diesel virgin so any help is appreciated...
bigmatt4
get a programable tacho like vdo and run it off the alternator you can also get a tiny tach which you zip tie a sensor to the injector line both pricy though

BlownCorona
i got a 'tiny tach' copy off of ebay for $1 for my mopeds, works great, internal battery that has lasted about a year so far, could be worth a shot. cool for other things too. bubblegoose
you can buy multimeters with the same pulse/rpm function for less than the cost of a deez tach and its far more usefull
