Rookie
You can do it yourself, but it is easy to make a head go backwards if you don't know what you are doing. I would suggest buying some books on head porting and have a read what works and what doesn't, there are even books specifically for the crossflow. bigmatt4
ive done my own porting but still cant beat professional porting with a flow bench depends on how much power your after and how much you have to spend my head alone cost me $1100 to get done with flow bench 10 years ago. and he also supplied the correct cam for the job was done by kevin ban when he lived in tauranga before he owned kefords. andy
I will try and find some pics and scan tomorrow. I recently did the heads on my 302. I didnt get to carried away and basically port matched them to the manifolds and removed any excessive casting. I did the same years ago on my xflow coupled with balancing and a 234 Kelford grind and dcoe's. Was a sweet and very drivable engine.
