Is iut a yellow hatch? saw a yellow hatch on way to cruise friday night. looked so choice- had recessed lights like all good chevettes should.... Yeah Sam- Viva all clean too. Hannah cleaned the engine bay and touched up the paint chips on engine etc while I was at work. we'll be there at 9 so to get a good spot. Talked to a really nice lady with an Imp, I'm starting to plant the idea in my wife's head... Did the 2500 make it to the show? I think my brothers car was a bit of a dick magnet... If you want an Imp project there is a shell in Chch for 300..... Is primed and ready for paint. Mechanicals will not be hard to find. Posted February 12, 2012 Share Posted February 12, 2012 Silvia is quite tame to drive...if you stay under 3500 rpm Knowing how hard it is to organise a time to do noisy work on cars that doesn't wake the boys the $6900 Imp in Chch looks pretty appealing...just need to stop buying stuff like the Volvo! After I have figured out why the Chevette has start stuttering. I think it's getting vapour lock. Probably having a sulk as the Imp is now in the shed and it has to live in the car port! Took many photos on my phone- since discovering our camera was stuffed. Some seriously nice cars there. Peripheral ported R100 was sweet. Detailed aqua pastel blue Holden EJ ute was very cool. Bright red '74 911 tasty. Lowered Bimmer V12 850 with sweet exhaust note was sweet. Tasty pottle of hot chips was another high point. Photos from me in a while... But yeah- a lot of V8s (although I do love V8s so not a bother for me) What hannah and I noticed was a almost total lacking of everyday runners- cheaper classics like your Triumph, Vivas, Hunters, Avengers, Morris minors and Austin 1100s etc...oh an no VWs at all? oh yeah- no MGs!!!
