be4ver
if the brushes are running low and starting to open circuit then the charge light etc wont even come on most of the time, the brushes complete the circuit that brings the charge light on (usually anyway) unless its externally regulated?, it will stop charging tho and you'll hear stuff like the fuel pump change pitch and headlights dim etc.. sounding like more of a bad earth to me
fuel
yeah I definitely think it's an earthing issue, would start looking at the battery terminal.
R100
Most vehicles, if the alternator is not charging will only bring on the alternator charging warning light. But some vehicles it will bring on all the warning lights. Its hard to say what the problem is without seeing the vehicle and doing some tests. As mentioned befor in other posts, best check earths and power connections at battery and alternator first. A multimeter on the battery should read between 13.8 and 14.4 to ensure its charging properly.
ryanfels
It read 14.6 when cold and then down to 14.4 when warm. No loose earths but found the power cable for the alternator was quite loose. Did it up and took it for a 5min spin around the block and it was fine. Will take it for a longer drive tomorrow night just to make sure
Raizer
It sounds like the same thing my RX60 did when the alt fucked out, all warning lights bar handbrake coming up on the dash.
