benjike70
Hi guys contemplating buying a w50 with 4age adapter/custom bellhousing to go behind 4age in my kp61.Can i squeeze one in?without chop chop?had a look on club k and here and found out tunnel needs adapting for the alloy boxes but isnt the w50 steel case box a bit smaller? I should also add i have a manual body. thanks.
kpr
not the advice you're after. but use a t50, or w55/7/8 if you need something stronger. steal case is quite heavy. steel case may fit, w55's dont need that much work to fit. but depends where engine is mounted also

phatt20
my old skid car had a 7k with a alloy case w5# box, made custom mounts, gearlever came thru factory hole and didnt have to touch the tunnel at all.
kpr
i'd still go for a t50, if your running a n/a 4age. light weight is your friend will go alot better shaving some kg's plus t50 is a nicer box imo, than all the w boxes. no sloppy w box shifter syndrome but if your running a turbo 4age. that steel option is looking better, being nice and cheap
yoeddynz
Are t50s/expensive hard to find these days? I remember trying to get one for a chevette 4age project in the UK and it was like looking for rocking horse poo. Maybe NZ has more of em? kpr
not that hard to find, the bell housing more so. have seen 4a bell housings sell for $400 and the boxes go for 200! still cheaper than buying a w55 and aftermarket bellhousing is a couple on trademe at the moment.
