The lines should be fine. 2L engine requires a 1L tank minimum, 2.1+L engines needs 2L tank, personally would aim for at least a 1.5L tank. 5.1 (7) Oil catch tanks: shall be fitted to engines with open circuit crankcase breathingsystems as follows; (a) Engines up to and including 2000cc shall have a minimum of 1 litre catch tank capacity. ( Engines exceeding 2000cc shall have a minimum of 2 litre catch tank capacity. Note: Do not apply equivalence factor multipliers.

peteretep
I have a -6 (3/8 hose I think) line on my setup as it's the same size hose as original, there's oil in the catch can so it obviously works My new tank will be just below 1.5 litres for my 1800 motor Also, I have not tested the blowby yet as the car hasn't been running due to starter motor, but I will test it in due course
Roman
What is actually coming out of the catch can, is oily, or more like water vapour?
peteretep
It's mostly emulsified oil I think, but as it drips out over a period of days it's quite to tell as it kind of separates on the floor
