griff666
i have ke36 with 4age and has started popping out of fourth on deacceleration, and has started whining when take foot of clutch so im guessing that is thrust bearing, is it worn syncros causing it to pop out
RUNAMUCK
I think its an endfloat issue. On overrun the thrust goes the other way to on power. Without looking at a picture of a gear box, (The inside of it!) I couldn't say whether or not it's worn syncho's that are causing it. You might be able to tighten up the detaunts to help hold it in gear better, but that;l make it harder to select 3rd and 4th. (And it might not fix it anyway)
KKtrips
worn thrusts inside the box is my best (and somewhat educated) guess.. Gearbox overhaul/replacement required - or just hold in gear on deceleration..
Unclejake
Yeah, gearbox internals are worn. It will need new bearings too as there is too much play in the shafts to hold the gears meshed under deceleration. Chuck it out and buy a used one
felixx
LOLs That happened to my anglia once, I used to hold it in gear.. bloody hard work on a long drive. One day I went to throw her into a roundabout and the gearstick snapped off! Best to change gearboxes i think..
