Rusted
Whipped the MEU out, collect the 5M this weekend. I am expecting to only hit a few minor problems but would like to have everything on hand before hand. Obviously there is going to be a piece of wiring loom that is no longer in use. The ECU should just be unplugged as it has no use anymore, switch over alternators to match my loom. Is there any impending doom? johnnyfive
I don't know enough about these to be able to think of anything, but does yours have an in tank high pressure pump?
fuel
why not just find an 5M-EU ECU and inlet manifold from a Crown or Cressida? Perhaps the M-EU inlet manifold will bolt to the 5M head and you can run with the existing M-EU ECU with some tweaks to the a/f ratio to compensate. Rusted
I'm liken your idea VR, but how does one 'fiddle' with an analogue ECU? I'm keeping an eye out for a 5M-EU injectors and ECU but until then I want to drive the black beauty hence the carb.
fuel
well when my GT was retrofitted with a carb instead of the original injection, they just disconnected the plug going to the fuel pump, and had the mechanical fuel pump sucking fuel through the EFI filter and pump. Rusted
Now there is some advice I can use.
Rusted
Tis a 5M-E, Only a few different plugs in the mix. The main exception is the 'box where I will just switch over.
