karmagedon
The fuel tank must have rusted through the oil/fuel separator. That caused fuel to leak into the oil compartment and vice versa, making my fuel EXTREMELY oily ( about a 2:1 ratio ). Since this was not good for my oil life I decided to run premix instead. Got some premix going, went for a ride and by my surprise the top speed went up buy about 2kmh. HOWEVER, due to that hole described above the fuel leaked steadily into the oil cavity. No problem, since this could act like a reserve fuel tank. BIG PROBLEM occurred though. The oil cavity has a level indicator made from rubber and glass, come 30 years from new and this rubber is now quite hard and doesn't seal so well. It wasn't a big problem with the oil, since that was thick enough to not really leak out, however, the fuel now could easily escape and before long I had a constant drip that would empty my tank overnight. BIG problem, so I smashed the window into the tank ( couldn't pull it out ) and used some epoxy resin to make a cover. The result is shown below, doesn't leak and I'm pleased with the results. karmagedon
Me and matt imported some sweet aluminium 70cc kits along with a 22mm carb. Did some work on friday to install them before after OMG that new carb is massive compared to the old stocky. Today I had some free time, so I tried to make a cheap expansion chamber. Shit is not as easy as it looks. Any old shape will not do. It both sounds like SHIT, and has hindered performance. I am however, now even more keen to give making a chamber a go. Using available calculators to get dimensions correct.

felixx
mate, your fetish with two tone motor vehicles is something to talk to someone about. Nah - just jokes. That scooter looks choice as. I want to get a Fa50 or one like yours and paint it the same colour as my anglia. It is a cool looking scoot
Jase
there's most of a new kdx200 expansion chamber floating around in the shed if you want a start for your chamber, just quit with the mitre exhausts and silver roofs and you can have it.
