UTERUS
So the indicators on lees fiddy one no longer flash for themselves. I've never had anything to do with the kind of setup where it uses the brake lights as indicators. I did however, find this diagram, would all old stz be wired this way? peteretep
you need to find out how the stop lamp isolating relay and the flasher unit works surely you can go to a hotrod shop and get a new one?
Hemi
yea if they have stopped flashing surely its the relay that does that thats at fault?
Leebo3
Did some more prodding, it's not even wired that way so disregard that. Might just be shitting connections so i'll give that a holla tomorrow. edit: it's uterus
UTERUS
Shitty connection/wiring, whoever wired this needs to die.
David
Good luck. A lot of 1951 American Cars didn't have factory indicators. So It would be often up to who ever, to rig a system up at a later date. Does it not flash in both left and right? There is two basic ways I've seen in the past to retro fit a system. 1. Use a double pole/change over type indicator switch 2. Or a single pole indicator switch with a relay atached to it.
UTERUS
Yea fixed it, shit connections/i should have known. It's not like i'm a sparky or anything. Looks like a single pole indicator with drop out relay to switch off the brake lights under braking. Cbf thinking about it anymore, it works and i'm happy.
