Jif
Im planing this. What is the NZ version of a GH Scorpion? Is it one of these? Its a bit overkill but I only know of this up grade or ex gsr brakes and I don't know whats involved with that conversion.
EURON8
My guess on blue thing is a 'dust cover' type deal from mechanics id say. stop dirty hands messing up the wheel.

fuel
hey, with the port size difference, you will be better off getting a cylinder head from a 1993-1996 non-turbo RVR Sports Gear, they have the same port sizes as that evo inlet manifold but would have ideal cams for the N/A application. Jif
Why? Its only going to cost postage to get the right head and I kind of want to keep the compression down so I can turbo it later down the track.
Brock-Lee
High comp low boost turbo. Go for a ride in a turbo honda and then see how much compression you want.
Jif
I'm just dreaming/wanking/trying not to say I'm so broke I can't afford to do it
fuel
changing the cylinder head wont alter the compression ratio - it's the pistons which determine that. The small port Evo/RVR heads are much better for low down/mid range torque.
CUL8R
Quite enjoying this project! Daily?

The small port Evo/RVR heads are much better for low down/mid range torque. It would be a good thing to do but I'm trying to put all the money I can in to the paint. Anyway I think that I will be happy with the power increase that I will get from this swap. Quite enjoying this project! Daily? Yes, also I'm going to use it for long trips and the odd club event. I'm hoping to be able to do 10,000 to 15,000km a year in it
