LingLing
some of you may already know that I cut my lower Driving belt(AC belt) due to its badly worn and makes insane amount of nosie. After I cut it ,there is a yellow warning light comes on, kind of looks like brake fluid light? and I basically got no brakes. my car is 1988 corolla diesel wagon what's going on here? does the Belt drives the hydraulic or something? bubblegoose
just go to repco and say you work for some big rental company eg, avis budget, hertz or apex < should give you a discount
LingLing
, sure that would work? I'm thinking to buy rear brake shoes, water pump, tensioners, all the belts, maybe some glow plugs. I think will cost me over 300? It does get expensive, hmm.
Bling
For your safety, and the safety of others on the road, I think you should get a mechanic to do it for ya

fuel
which lower belt? the alternator belt?
LingLing
yep, the Alternator belt, it only has two pulleys, (one alternator pulley and Crankshaft pulley?) so should I take off the Crankshaft pulley? the Power steering belt has a Tensioner pulley so it is very easy to replace. pies
ALTERNATOR WILL BE ADJUSTABLE ON THESE ENGINES. CBF RETYPING THAT IN LOWER CASE SO NOW THE REST OF THIS POST WILL BE IN CAPS... nah jokes there will be an adjuster on the alternator. look closer and you will see what i mean. if you cant see it, get a mechanic to do it or you will probably take your fingers/hands/knob off trying to replace the belt in the way you are describing.
