mikuni
I rate it. Gutted about the level of blown headgasket it has though. Seems you were just starting to get things back on track with it and then that happens. Sometimes the case with rushed transplants/conversions though aye. Can pay to take your time in the final stages when doing some of simple little things that you can overlook easily.

fuel
hey man yeah it's a non-interference engine like 99% of other Mitsu SOHC engines, it's generally the DOHC and multivalve engines which are interference.
Jeffs_Emporium
alrighty ausome an this turbo engine that im bidding on, since its fwd i will need rwd ex mani? and will i need rwd intake aswell?
fuel
you'll need a RWD exhaust mani for putting the turbo in the right place yeah, otherwise it will hang down and possibly get away in the engine mount and steering box (and power steering lines if it has it). You can use that FWD intake mani still, as it is almost the same as the RWD manifold just with the thermostat housing placed on opposite sides of the manifold - an extra length of radiator hose/pipe can fix that. that motor you are bidding on trademe can be rebuilt cheaply - you could get the gasket set, bearings, rings, cambelt + tensioner etc for under $250 easy. Even a set of new pistons are no more than $150. Check out http://www.staparts.co.nz, they're in Auckland too.
