mattscort
Hey just wondering anyone out there ever injected their 1600 crossflow using falcon CFI (throttle body style)? Or similar? I was told it's reasonably simple, and as i have both these items i'm just thinking................? It basically fits on the weber manifold with small amount of slotting. I'm new to this site, been checking it for ages but never had a reason to sign up till now. p.s I don't need anyone posting telling me to just put a pinto in it, I will do what i want with my escort, you do what you want with yours

corrupt
Im pretty sure you will need to get an ecu to run the fueling side of things, doubt the falcon ecu will be of any help being that they are on engines twice the size.
mattscort
yeah Im still considering that one, probably will try and use falcon efi controller but limit the signal from the TPS to the ECU with some kind of potentiometer. Going to put it together on test bed at work and check output pulse. If the falcon one is too messy to use I might give up and keep the sidedraughts. I'm just playing around with it at the moment, ta for your thoughts man

Mr.Mk1
There was a really nice setup on Trademe not long ago, using SR20 bits and was sold without the Link, which it needed to run. Fully possible.
kpr
i say stick with carbs,(that coming from somone who isnt so keen on carbs) unless its gonna be turbo. pretty small chance the falcon ecu will run it anygood. may have a little more luck if its afm not map or tps tho. multipoint efi would be the way to go, if you must. but would pretty much require custom inlet manifold and a decent ecu. witch wont be worth the money, unless your going turbo or going fairly serious n/a
mattscort
Hey yeah man twin webber 40's, i'm the opposite i have always liked carbs, but put injection on a 4k over the summer and was surprised at the drivability out of a previously temperamental engine. This falcon injection setup is very primitive, and you're right it will be a mission to set it up right. I'm gonna tinker away on it over the next couple of weeks and see what I can acheive. Your not alone in telling me to stick with carbs haha
