Currently I'm running the factory carb but with all the vaccum lines and emission controls etc. Are there any manual carbs that bolt on or are similar that I can swap for?? The motors in a street car, but will be mild to warm when I've finished rebuilding it. Would sidedrafts be overkill for the street?? What size would be best?? Any help would be mint. Mike-e Posted June 17, 2008 Share Posted June 17, 2008 wholy shit its christmas. have tinkered around with a few 3As, doing whatever i could to make them go semi decent, including 5 angle valve grinds, skimming head down to edge of spark plug hole and fucking with the heads that have the swirl actuator in them, fitting aisin emisssions free carb off 1600cc 4a and rejetting, adding some toluene and plenty of timing and i can 100% confidently say your wasting your time. bluetops respond a million times better to money spent on them, have decent re-sale on them, start easy when its cold and are alot cheaper than sidedraught carbs. buy bluetop put new bearings in straight away and go rev to 8k happily even went for turbo before i realised what a massive, stupid waste of time they are (no offence) do whatever gets you happy in the pants Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
