RUNAMUCK Posted May 1, 2008 Share Posted May 1, 2008 Generally if your rings are fisted, youe motor will smoke like fuck under load. I'm prepared to wager that valve guide seals will fix daves motor. Guest vvega Posted May 9, 2008 Share Posted May 9, 2008 rings smoke more with rev's they also give you moonbeams of blowbuy they also when smoking badly...dont clearup ...its just non stop same amount and most importantly...is blue and dosent linger you may also get white smoke colmming form the rocker cover as the all gest singed buy teh flame pasing the rings and buring the oil off the cylander walls stem seals smoke on startup when you have been idling for long peroids and move off and most importantly if there ex ones its white smoke...that lingers Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Jase Posted May 9, 2008 Share Posted May 9, 2008 easiest way bro take the tappet cover off and have a look, i'll bet my dogs left testicle your stem seals are shagged or missing or sitting next to the valve stem, theres a few types i've come across the old external wire jobbies often break the wire and work their way back up the stem, the newer ones have the wire vulcanised into them but have seen them crack the top off, compressed air trick sounds the goes, personally i removed the head skimmed it dipped it rellappd the valves new mhg and popped it back on with some new head bolts and as long as your rings are good you get a bit more pep, better cooling and better combustion Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
