Guest 4dnut
I have a genuine rs1600 (re shell but all ID)It is fitted with the factory style bubble guards,I am building another car as a Zakspeed replica,I tracked down the origonal supplier to zakspeed ,they had the moulds still.I bought a set ,fitted them to my car ,took a mould then remade them in carbon fibre. So basically i have moulds for the zakspeed guards. Guest 4dnut
I don't really want to make any more at the moment I want my car to be a bit different when it is finished(hopefully to the painters may)The problem is with the zakspeed guard is that they are so big.I have the moulds for bubble guards also, they make the car 50mm wider each side. The zak guards make the front 100mm wider each side and the rear 75mm wider each side. The origonal cars used 11inch fronts and 13inch wide rears, and unless you run wide wheels they just look silly! What I am running is 8.5inch x 15 mag bbs centrelock and 10inch rears. To get the front looking and working I am using a eggenberger rs500 magnesium(zero scrub upright)rear diff made to the correct width.Gear box 6 speed sequential quaife, engine 2.2 bdg.I am in Auckland.I am a bit useless downloading photos but i will give it a go. mightymk1
Hey guys, Found this old thread as I am looking to locate some Zakspeed flares to suit a Mk1 Escort, Can anyone help me out? I have been unable to find 4dnut in the member list, is he still around or does anyone know how I could get in touch with him? - I would love to have a chat with him. If anyone else has contact that may be able to help it would be most appreciated - I am located in Australia. Cheers Troy
