Gaz
Yeah I do remember that now. What you said about the cam is true. The Kent FR32 is a mint cam in that sense. Alot of people rate it as the best road cam avaliable for low HP
Orange
Cheers for all that, I've since decided to ditch the pinto, I'm going for a more modern engine. I'll let you guys know how it goes Thanks

RT
yeah but not likely to get a more modern engine in your cortina for 3 grand
Orange
Yea, I have to stretch the budget a bit but in the long run I think its worth it
mikuni
I agree mate, good option. What do you have in mind if you are willing to spill the beans at this early stage?
Spencer
anything thats 4 valve per cylinder with nice ports, and not to much of a headache to fit is the go. I mean 2v is cool if your in a racing class or want to keep period mods but if you just want more go modern engines are the way bang for buck
drtdvl
there can be a reasonable increase in just removing the as cast surface in the ports and chamber, you can generally find about a 5 - 7 % increase in flow/velocity. espically if you have a miss-match in alignment between the portwall and valve seat. Orange
I don't really wanna say at this stage incase something happens and it doesn't go ahead, once stuff does starts happening though I'll put it up in the projects forum
