Raizer
Simota filters are really good, if you've got a AFM don't use an oiled filter (Some K&Ns, most foam filters)!!
Spencer
Yea foam filters arnt shit just need to be cleaned and oiled alot more than a paper one. I mean if my old motor x bike ran a paper filter it would've sucked dirt for sure
Jay GTi
Yea foam filters arnt shit just need to be cleaned and oiled alot more than a paper one. I mean if my old motor x bike ran a paper filter it would've sucked dirt for sure used in slightly different conditions, plus motox bikes need to be rebuilt pretty regularly too, so running a free-flowing foam filter that passes through some dirt/dust isn't that much of an issue. There was a test in the UK, can't find the link, that compared all the main big brands for flow and filtration. The HKS was the worst, flowed well but let in all sorts of crap. Apexi was best and the K&N also rated highly.
Gaz
Id go the apexi. They are about $130 new. Thats what I will run.

Yea different application but just trying to say that theres no way foam filters are shit as said above just got to look after them. But yea those hks ones look crap dont even seal up that well. Also once oiled a foam filter on a bike is worse flowing than a paper I'd say. Theres no way can you afford to let your bike suck dirt on some of the dusty tracks you'd seize it in one race, seen it happen with a light grade oil on a cheap foamy
