htwn-escort-boy
hey guys, i just got my car on the road. and im already sick of changing the gears due to the long travel between the gears, i was wondering if any one had made a short shift for a 5 speed sierra? (not just cutting down the gear stick) something about changing the fulcrum? any help would be great, photos or diagrams would be better. cheers Jezza. oh and if there a link somewhere else just show me in the right direction. Yeap there excellent! The "kits" you can get are basically just a spacer between the box and the shifter mount to lift the pivot point a bit -washers work just as well

PM nismocapri or search his posts. I brought the quaife jobbie from palmside after I went there with a fist full of cash. I wanted tramp rods but they were out and it was going to be while before they'd have some more so I got this instead worth every cent! The one I was using was fukked the push down for reverse had vanished

Jonny
If the push-down for reverse is hardly working is it down to the lever or gearbox?
