Gaz
Are they differant for carb/injected? I have one on the 4age carb engine. Settings of 1-6. Dunno why you have one for carbs but hey, its got one.
CaMpylobacter
depends on the fuel return system, or whether it has one. sometimes yuo run a reg on carbs without a return, so that the pump will only supply a certain pressure to carb, then shuts it off etc.... wont be high enough pressure, injection runs at over 50psi

Standard pressure fills the bowl so youll never need to go more... The one on the 4age doesnt chnage shit weather its on 1 or
peteretep
does it have an electric fuel pump? that would pump alot of pressure
Raizer
Is that 1 to 6 psi? Webbers and Dellortos like high flow with constant low pressure, 6 or 7 psi is ideal.
peteretep
I thought it was more 4-5 for carbs
Hemi
yea the pressure regulator stops the bowl over filling .in your mechanical pump the diaphram get pushed down and disconnects the drive of pump , so no doubt that car has a electric (i dont even think 4ages came with mech pumps) in electric pumps that dont have shutoffs so just keep pumping thats what your press reg is for

Raizer
I thought it was more 4-5 for carbs Im just going from my sidedraught manual.
lowlancer
How can I find what fuel pressure I'll need for my motor?
Gaz
I dont think you will need to increase fuel pressure if you just get larger injectors. I think it is just another way to up your fuel.
lowlancer
? Was that at me? I just need to know what pressure I'll need to run. Also, what if the pump I have going into my surge tank is lesser rated flow than the one taking it out? That a problem? Should I just use like 2 VL pumps? Hemi
ok with agree with meth u dont need to change pressure just flow with larger injectors ( haevnt gone too dep into efi but computer should regulats this according to pres in fuel rail?? if not then u'll have to reasearch what pressure it need to be . lowlancer im no big guy on petrol BUT u'll want a high flow/low pressure pump to surge tank thena high pressure/ whatever flow from surge to fuel rail ( of your choice ) think diesel pump ..has high vol low pres pump supply the high pres low flow pump ( if u feel the need) ...my 2 cents
