Fuel Pressure Regs

Gaz

Recommended Posts

depends on the fuel return system, or whether it has one. sometimes yuo run a reg on carbs without a return, so that the pump will only supply a certain pressure to carb, then shuts it off etc....

wont be high enough pressure, injection runs at over 50psi

Why would you want to change the presure to carbs (twin 40s) when all your doing is filling the bowl??? Standard pressure fills the bowl so youll never need to go more... The one on the 4age doesnt chnage shit weather its on 1 or 6

yea the pressure regulator stops the bowl over filling .in your mechanical pump the diaphram get pushed down and disconnects the drive of pump , so no doubt that car has a electric (i dont even think 4ages came with mech pumps) in electric pumps that dont have shutoffs so just keep pumping thats what your press reg is for

ok with agree with meth u dont need to change pressure just flow with larger injectors ( haevnt gone too dep into efi but computer should regulats this according to pres in fuel rail?? if not then u'll have to reasearch what pressure it need to be .

lowlancer im no big guy on petrol BUT u'll want a high flow/low pressure pump to surge tank thena high pressure/ whatever flow from surge to fuel rail ( of your choice ) think diesel pump ..has high vol low pres pump supply the high pres low flow pump ( if u feel the need) ...my 2 cents
