Ivan, you were not the only one mate! we had an actual cruise that day! included me, logan and mike :P went to muriwai later to do some burnouts on the gravel, and my damn clutch cable kept coming off :x Alex was there to then, and possibly some others, but i cant remember

anyways, kumeu show is on the 21st and 22nd.

Saturday 21st of January 2006

09.00 - Southerners meet at BP Bombay, heading to Auckland.

09.15 - southerners leave BP

10.00 - Everyone meets in the parking lot next to the new outlet shops in Westgate, West Auckland.

10.30 - Everyone leaves, heading towards the Kumeu showgrounds.

11.30 - Should all be parked up and in the kumeu showgrounds.

15.00 - should now be bored of the show, so off to the beach.

15.30 - Should now be at the 4X4 park for a bit of fun i'd say.

17.00 - Bored of the 4X4 park, and off to the beach for a cool down.

18.00 - should be bored of that too, so off for a BBQ

18.20 - Stop at auto clean for anyone that wants to wash their car after the 4X4 park. (its an anual thing)

19.00 - Having a beer, and fireing up the BBQ

21.30 - go for a cruise through town if we're not too drunk

*Kumeu show grounds is only a 7 minute drive from westgate, but knowing the area, it'll be damn busy again this year from about 8am onwards the entire way there. know a few back roads to get there, but they wont help much. This si the reason it'll take a while to get there, and why we are leaving so "early"

*Cruise from BP will most likely be leaded by Muzzie, as thats prety much where he lives. If he has to work then we'll find someone else to be there instead.

*If the weather is the same as last year, the pack on that sunscreen, and bring on those hats! was HOT last year!

i thought it would be best to set up some sort of guideline for the day, because if nobody does, then nothing will happen. same story every time theres a meet. true story!

well, i have no problem staying longer, its just that in 05 we went, and got bored after 1.5 or 3 hours :P mainly because it was so damn hot! so i kinda just grabbed a number that seemed long enough for people. but changing that should be all gravy. we could stay longer and not go to the beach (or just the 4x4 park) that was only there to kill some time before the BBQ anyways lol

my first post in the new year i think...

it's on Westgate drive. see wises.co.nz

Easiest way there from;

The Shore,

Manage to get yourself onto Upper Harbour drive, which changes into Hobsonville Road.

Follow that right untill the end when you'll reach a roundabout on the intersection of Don Buck road, State Highway 16 and Hobsonville road. You want to turn left onto Don Buck road, and then left again at the roundabout onto Westgate drive.

That road will go down hill untill you get to a roundabout where you will go straight ahead and the car park you'll have to be at is on the left, you cant miss it!

South,

Get onto the motorway towards Auckland City and follow the signs Hellensville, when you get to them. They will lead you onto the North-Western Motorway.

When you get to the end of that motorway, you want to be in the Left lane and turn left onto Hobsonville Road.

Central,

Get onto the motorway and follow the signs Hellensville, when you get to them. They will lead you onto the North-Western Motorway.

When you get to the end of that motorway, you want to be in the Left lane and turn left onto Hobsonville Road.

Follow that right untill the end when you'll reach a roundabout on the intersection of Don Buck road, State Highway 16 and Hobsonville road. You want to turn left onto Don Buck road, and then left again at the roundabout onto Westgate drive.

West,

either,

Get onto the motorway and follow the signs Hellensville, when you get to them. They will lead you onto the North-Western Motorway.

When you get to the end of that motorway, you want to be in the Left lane and turn left onto Hobsonville Road.

Follow that right untill the end when you'll reach a roundabout on the intersection of Don Buck road, State Highway 16 and Hobsonville road. You want to turn left onto Don Buck road, and then left again at the roundabout onto Westgate drive.

That road will go down hill untill you get to a roundabout where you will go straight ahead and the car park you'll have to be at is on the left, you cant miss it!

or

Head towards Massey and find Don Buck road. Follow that untill you get to a roundabout by the Leisure centre where you'll turn left onto Westgate drive.

That road will go down hill untill you get to a roundabout where you will go straight ahead and the car park you'll have to be at is on the left, you cant miss it!

North-west,

get onto State Highway 16, going south. Follow that right untill the end when you'll reach a roundabout on the intersection of Don Buck road, State Highway 16 and Hobsonville road. You want to turn Right onto Don Buck road, and then left again at the roundabout onto Westgate drive.

That road will go down hill untill you get to a roundabout where you will go straight ahead and the car park you'll have to be at is on the left, you cant miss it!

The parking lot on the map is the one on the right of westgate drive if your coming from the round about. The ways i just wrote down are the easiest way but as you can see on the map, there is a slightly shorter way.
