L0WMK2
brought some reversing lights for my cortina how do you wire them up so they come on with reversing?
kyteler
Wire them into the switch/wires that come from the gearbox, unless you've got a dork-a-matic in which case you can probably wire it into the selector.
Toucan
Theres a 99% chance the wire kyteler speaks of is broken and no long protrudes from the gearbox. Its just below the shifter on the drivers side.
L0WMK2
it a four speed manual would i have to drop the box out to see the wires
kyteler
Only if you're too fat to fit under the car. Seriously though, I shouldn't think so, but if you're having issues just remove the shifter boot and have a nosey through the hole from the top, should be fairly easy to see. mkcortina
Your gearbox may not have a reverse switch on it. my mk1 doesn't have 1.
