Leebo3
You will need to make a new hole for the gear stick, that is for 1600 though i guess it is the same for a 2litre
Guest WESTCORT
yes it does, but like rscort says a new hole is needed in the floor for the stick
Toucan
If the car was originally an auto, it will fit as the autos have a bigger trans tunnel, if it was a manual, then you will need to cut the trans tunnel a bit bigger, look around in past threads, this has been covered about a 100 times now
esky boi
Yea a new hole about 2-3 inches further back and a shorter driveshaft... one from an auto escort does the job, also half a Sierra one and half an Escort one joined together will do it. Not too sure which half of which tho. You also need a different speedo cable (I think) Green_mk2_Escort will be able to tell you more.... Draizuh
use a sledge hammer
RT
nothing that a hammer massage can't fix. Mainly around the top of the bulk-head where sometimes you can get a bad vibration but thats all. You just need to cut a retangle with the gearstick hole at one end and turn it around and weld it back on. So that the hole is around 7-8cm back. Use a standard length shifter so it doesn't hit your handbrake or cut your handbrake handle shorter.
