Josh
I was thinking about pulling out the bench style seat in the capri and putting in two bucket seats in the rear just to be a lil different, how would I go about making them stay in place, would i need rails? or just bolt them to the floor?? Let me know if you think this is a good or bad idea.
Guest escort_boy
i say its a good idea. i have seen a few cars with buckies all round and they used rails but there was a lot of room anyway. are u able to put buckies in the back in terms of space? u could just solidly bolt them down if u didnt/couldnt use rails
davidian
check with a low volume certifier whether they need to be bolted down tith rails or you'll need to weld them down dude
CaMpylobacter
that'd be quite mean if you did it right - full harnesses all round, make up a console for the back, maybe even a pimp as small fridge/warmer box thing like hiace vans have
Toucan
Wicked idea, then you could go rallying with two passengers aswel as the co-driver haha
RT
I used to concider that.. but really, who wants backseat passangers? they just drop rubbish, complain that they can't see or hear anything, and weight you down. no backseat.
Guest Hixxie
Dont know if u guys have corsas over there but we do in england and they're complete piles of toss, some boyracer locally has put a bucket seat in the back of his and it looks stupid but the fact that its a capri means u should b able 2 pull it off! lowlancer
Get rid of it all, that's what I plan on doing. What do I have to do legality wise?
CaMpylobacter
take all the belts out of the back, maybe cert as a 2 seater...... being a 2 door, if you have fixed buckets you might be sweet - ask a certifier and just get it tacked on the cert plate when you cert the 4g63.... assuming you will
davidian
read up the ltsa site.. i think you have to weld in all the seatbelt mount holes in the back as well if you want to do that

mkcortina
the back seats in a mk1 capri are great y would you want to change them. Are you seats just a flat bench seat or are they shaped seat? But if you want them to look more like buckies then why dont you get them reshaped with foam and recovered. i got a quote for abt $500 to do that to my cortina seat. but wanted them to look more like capri seats

SYKOV6
I used to concider that.. but really, who wants backseat passangers? they just drop rubbish, complain that they can't see or hear anything, and weight you down.no backseat. yeah RT the bastards only slow ya down and complian they feel sick ditch the back seat and put some big tubs in there and upholster the whole shooting match
RT
Back seats are for Falcydores. I got sick of mates clambering past the front seat to get in the back.. then telling me the tunes are too loud and they can't see shit. 'can we go through macca's so we can leave fries and pickle's on the floor?' if your's was a MKII my subbies would suit nicely. I'm selling them.
