droppdkp
Hey I'm trying to find places that compresse springs cheap. Any places you know of? Snells said $240. Oh and I have a DX sedan with coils allround.
esky boi
Yeah $240 sounds about right, thats for four springs I take it? Mine was about that for the front and rear too, coils up front, and leaves at the rear, from Snells. Theyre pretty cheap, and do a good job. Bullitt
If it costs that much to get them compressed why do people bother? Ive bought second hand Jamex springs for less than that before
droppdkp
Yea thats for 4 springs. Well I'v been looking for springs and I cant find them for under snells price.
zep
My car handled like a dripping anus with compressed springs...
Guest WESTCORT
of all the similies in the world you could have used zep.....
droppdkp
Agreed, nice similie Doesnt have to necessarily be compressed springs tho, just looking for a legit cheap way to lower my car. You guys must have some hook-ups?

You guys must have some hook-ups? How high is it currently? I have some fairly low springs in my KP60 (I get guard rub in fact!), might be able to do a swap plus cash? esky boi
Yea some cars ride pretty useless with compressed springs, while others are sweet. Cutting/compressing springs is really the only way to get the car fully sacked, if thats what youre after. Aftermarket springs like Kings, etc. even 'superlow' dont really dump it, they just sort of take it down so its low- ish. From my experience anyway... lowlancer
Custom springs from snells. That's what I have to do, as no one makes them for my car
Gaz
ring up archers in rotorua on sunset road. they will do them for half that price if i remember right. the front two in my old escort cost $60. i think it is $60 a pair if you take them out of strut yourself or $75 if they have to take them out of struts. That was a few years back now.
droppdkp
Nah Its standard hight right now. MUzzie could be keen, kp's and ke70s have the same struts? how much do u reckon they'd lower it by? I'd like 2.5-3 inches off probably.
