3 cylinder motor, I got a mechanic cousin to help me time it, cause I didn't wana fuck the valves up. He left before I put in the new fuel pump, so just trying to eliminate things really. It was rebuild well, plus even if it was low on compression it would still start? Just run really ruff? Iv borrowed some CRC carb cleaner and engine start, going to clean plugs tommorow and try on a freshly charged battery. Arghhhhhh

Timing is right, theres definately fuel getting to the plugs. I'm thinking I'm gunna nick a bigger battery off my other car and see if that gives it a better spark? Also, I'm a complete noob with anything mechanical, but the flap on teh carb is just sitting in one spot, not moving when pumping the accelerator, what does this mean?

Hey there, I have a 1989 daihatsu charade that just doesnt want to start. I blew the head about 6 weeks ago, and throughout the last week and a half have started putting the motor back to pieces. I replaced the head, and all gaskets, waterpump, cambelt etc etc. And it didnt start up, which was the fuel pump. New fuel pump in, and it still doesn t want to start. Im getting spark, fuel is getting to carb, its turning over sweet, but cant get over the last hurdle and start? Ive had a fiddle with the dizzy, and cleaned all the grounds, to no avail. Any ideas?

Aha, after some research I found my answer, different turbo (RHB51) but now i just have to find either!

Does anybody know if the manifold from Daihatsu Charade 1.0lt carb turbo motor (CB50/60 motor) is the same as the GTTI 1.0lt exhaust manifold (cb70/80 motor)?????? Also, does anybody know if they use the same RHB32 turbo???

What model subie is best to use? Are they an LSD diff? Do you use datsun axles?

Im looking at buying a 1600 and am looking for a resonibly simple diff conversion, best of all would be bolt in. I,ve heard that a subaru diff head(or complete diff?) bolts in but not really sure bout the authenticity of this. Anyone know a good option?

Finally got a wof for the sucka. Now also put in recaro front seats, matching rear cover, pioneer fronts, fusion rears, serviced the 4k and a ramflow. Also got a new bonnet, full set of doors and a new front guard. Gona get it ready 2 paint.

Superchargings a good idea i reckon. You'll have tons of low down power and pwn hard off the line. Reubens dx could mash much more fancyd cars

Hey there wondering what to do about the springs in my ke70. I have cuts in the front and rear but the back is captive using wagon shocks. This leaves the front still illegal and I'm looking at my options. I'm thinking shortened struts, or possibly using a different insert. Someone help cause I'm going cccrrraaazzzyyyy over this.

Ok havn't posted for a while so here goes. ZClutch blew so got a brand new one for like $75 through toyota(mate). New wipers, front brake lines, wagon shocks in the rear, cost me $10 but getting some good ones soon, new parklight finally. New master cylinder tommorow. And then maybe time to pass her on.

Sweet the slide on spacers werent working so ditched them for a 25mm bolt on spacer from k-style. Its all good no hitting strut, was rubbing so took to the fron lips with a mallet and presto no more rubbing.
