is a 74 a Ke20/KE25???

i think there stud pattern was different to most other toyota's, 4*110 i think.

also check the inside diameter of the wheel centre is bigger than the bit sticking out of the hub, that might be holding the wheels out further than they're meant to be.

you can change wheel studs, its a bit of a mission though. most people who want longer studs seem to use hilux ones cause they are cheap, common, and usually heaps long enough. you would have to check they had the same diameter of the bit that gets pressed in to the hub first though.

cheers

nah its piece of piss if you wanna change them

take the hub of and just tap the studs out with a hammer or sumtin, should be easy peasy unless they are a bit rusted into place

then take a sample down to a good auto supply store and get something round the same diameter of the but of the stud that actually holds it in place in the hub. you can get the same thread as your old ones or get all new thread, but make shure youve got nuts that fit the new thread. your store eg supercheap auto or auto one should have a good replacement for ya. its not hard to swap them

na i think most rolla's are 4x114.3....... and 4x110 is an rx stud rxtoy.........

Some early rolla's are 110. I know because I took the Chrome Weller 8-spokes off my brother's old 1971 Levin and put them on my old 1976 MkII Escort, because there's only 2mm difference between 110 and 108, some wheels will fit.

kruzdy, you probably need (as z|gen already mentioned) shank style nuts, they have a wee sleeve that fills the gap you were seeing when they "weren't quite centred".

ya need to upload the pic onto the web somewhere then in your profile put it in your avatar link

ke2# rolla's have 4x110 studs unless its already been changed. there are some hotties with this stud pattern but it more common to find 4x114.3. rwd starlet 4x114 hubs are a bolt in swap but need keep original ke2 disk. ke3/ke7 hubs have larger inner bearing so need to have that bearing instead of original. inner seal may not fit on some.

need to unbolt and smack the disk off to be able to pull studs out on the rolla's :?

weird bout the hotties tho.. i had no probs fitting the 13x7 size?
