  1. Yea, ae86 powered by max coilovers with gx71 struts and techno toy tunings hybrid knuckles. Soon to have ke30 Lower control arms to when i get around to fitting them. For my track width and camber.
  2. hey, incase you haven't seen it, this is what mine looks like with that spoiler. I also cut and rounded the ends of it down a bit so they aren't pointy. also from what i could find, those fender mirrors are the same as factory DX spec Ke70. keep it up, looks realy clean.
  3. Arduino are surprisingly cheap. But you would spend days nutting out the programming. With the 4 shift lights; they aren't going to know which gear your in are they? So all 4 will be lighting up at slightly different times and you just need to remember which gear is to which light? Also interesting that you say link ecu's have this feature already. I had no idea and will have to look into that.
  4. What if you had a Arduino or similar, and use it to measure the speed at which you are accelerating through each gear. And then turns on the shift light, at what ever RPM it calculates the shift light needs to be switched on? don't ask me how haha. but it sounds plausible to me???
  5. Will try bring the corolla along to the carpark. Far far to poor for burgerfuel though sadly.
  6. Dam that looks fun. sounds so good. The yellow ae101 looked like it already had a bent up bonnet when you passed him?
  7. Cheers Beaver, Much appreciated. Im sure a few photos in the future of the scars
  8. Sweet day out in this yesterday. Drive from Ashhurst to Pongaroa Pub. Went well. Back roads can be a bit rough. Little worried about seeing the underside next time its on a hoist. And need to look into a rear sway bar, and a larger one on the front. As she is a bit twitchy in the corners. Stolen from @_Matt Timelapse of the trip there. (blame youtube for the shittyness even at 1080p...) Stolen from @Seedy Al
  9. Good to see these on here! your making me want to build another for track duties
  10. May have noticed in the photos above, finally got rid of these Now looks like this New windows are a bit scratched so may attempt to polish them eventually. Also still need replacement stainless and rubber trim/weatherstrips If anyone has any like these, please contact me.
  11. Interested to hear how the speed is behind the 1gge. Its a bloodly lovely gbox behind the beams in my corolla. make sure you ditch the dual mass piece of crap flywheel before putting it all in. (i didn't lol)
  12. You have read my mind, was also thinking ashhurst/saddleroad Will be there. Either date works with me. When are your exams Mitch?
  13. The enormous airbox with many vaccum lines and flappy flaps My "conversion' even came with the altezza clutch pedal which i modded and used with the altezza master & slave cylinder. only thing missing that i felt should have been there was the speedo cluster. (not that i would have used it)
  14. @krazy, I hope you realise the auto engines are different to the manual engines? Different Valves & compression if im not mistaken. Not sure about earlier Corollas. but i didn't have to mod the sump. And the bonnet slightly touches the plastic cover on the top of the engine. Shit, I did most the work my self and i spent a hell of a lot more than that haha Don't want to put you off, but is a big commitment. I have no idea how, but it easily took me 2 years to do mine. if i was to do it again, i would go with a blacktop 4age & altezza 6 speed.
  15. What sort of things do you want to know? Altezza 3sge and 6 speed? First of all be prepared to spend a lot more, than if you were to go with something like a 4age. Especially if you go with a link ecu. Be prepared to cut the gearbox tunnel and maybe the firewall. Will probably need a ke70/Ae86 sway bar to fit around the sump?? Engine mounts are pretty easy to make. Use the altezza rubber mounts. gearbox mount will need to be fab'd. and the shifter will be about 300mm further back? hope that helps
  16. How bad can a bowl of chips/ burger be? (food poisoning on the way home would add to the excitement)
  17. Pretty keen to head out to Pongaroa Pub one weekend. Some nice twisty roads, but may be a bit far?
  18. Im heading up on the 19th or 26th of October. so could possibly grab them from Markku.
  19. pongaroa sounds like a great drive. Apiti Tavern is supposed to be pretty sweet too.
  20. Not much happening, Recently i made up dual stainless tips for it. New Wheels on the front. Today went for a old school cruise out to Pohangina valley Pub more photos of cruise here //oldschool.co.nz/index.php?/topic/44924-2pm-sat-bunnythorpe-end-of-august-cruisemanawatu/

  22. Looking good. i would definitely recommend traction brackets ASAP. Putting traction brackets on mine helped so much i couldn't believe it. Before it felt underpowered. Now it is well past having traction and lets loose very easily. With T1R's I need a lsd now.
