  1. Its what happens you lap in around 1min 18sec at Manfeild and use stock EF seats and 3point belt haha
  2. Yeah man. The thing is a rocket, still need to hit him up for a ride! 6th gear (ok it has real short gearing thanks to a 5.1FD) on each straight and well off the clock on every straight haha
  3. On the subject of K20A's. Buddies K20A powered EF Civic, his first time out in this particular car at Manfeild a couple weeks back. Specs are basically - stock K20A + KPro (160ish kw), 6speed with 5.1 FD, coilovers, Hawk pads and semi slicks.
  4. People doing their own WOF's?
  5. Run no plastic cover down the centre of the rocker cover and the only way to ID them is the 4A stamped on the block (unless the person looking at the car actually knows what a 4AGE is)
  6. I'll be going past tomorrow night about 7/7.30 so will double check
  7. Have a feeling they lock that carpark at night when Farmers is closed?
  8. Looking forward to skid vids once this is finished
  9. This mounting the battery thing is relevant to my interests atm. Would it be fine to make up an alloy tray to sit in the corner of the boot and mount the battery to that? The tray would have four 6mm bolts into effectively the side of the boot floor with large washers etc so it can't be easily ripped out. Then the battery is secured to it as per MSNZ/LVVTA spec?
  10. Thats most likely what the 4x4 guys get done with their cages, I know my workmate had his Safari certed and I'm fairly certain the "cage" was included
  11. On the hunt for a small off cut of (30-50mm length) aluminum tube with an OD of preferably 1.5". Can make do if its a bit bigger diameter. Thickness somewhere around 1.5mm? It's going to a barb for a breather filter. Hopefully someone might have some scrap pipe just lying around. Simon? _Matt?
  12. Based on those valve cutouts they look like DE pistons (ones on the left)
  13. Tried this when tuning my car but found it didn't work as well as I hoped. Gave up and bolted the sensor with the Link Knockblock onto the motor instead.
  14. If finding out the ideal timing for the outboard injectors to be used is anything like deciding on how to set up VVT then you should do a full tune without them, then a full tune with only them on (say from 2500rpm onwards if there is concern about them not working correctly at low RPM's) - overlay the results (dyno or virtual dyno) and make a mix of the two. EGT Sensors?
  15. ^ That sold some time ago, the popped up for sale again
  16. If you pop the EFI fuse from the fuse box it cuts fuel and ignition so you won't have to worry
  17. Minimum to be in spec is like 150psi iirc. I had one cylinder down to 110psi due to valves not seating correctly, others were about 180psi. You couldn't tell it was any different, just the idle was shit - even managed a pb top speed at Manfeild, with a passenger in the car even like that TL:DR 4AGE's will use oil/smoke etc and still drive fine
  18. Test it first, apply 12v to it and you should hear a clicking. Apparently a piece on the circuit board in he ECU can fail and thats to do with the VVT. Though don't think thats too common.
  19. I was thinking that before, like the VVT pulley has locked in the advance position
  20. Checked valve clearances? Seen/heard of these getting valve recssion (mine was down to 120psi on one cylinder where the problem was).
  21. 30 something cars and a visit by a (friendly) Police officer on the cards for this months meet?
  22. Made sure both surfaces were nice and flat aye?
  23. That's brilliant! I wonder if I put crapper oil in my gearbox I could shorten the gearing up for more acceleration?
