  1. Sorry Ned, was in and out up top while you were still down the bottom. Avenga and Bigfoot both fitted, I'm sure you could squeeze in, hell - you fit in a Starlet! Will try tee one up again another time.
  2. I'm currently driving a GT86, if I'm still in it on Wednesday shall I bring that or my MA61? That's not a rhetorical question, I would like to know what people would prefer to see.
  3. I'm there, rain, hail or shine, pending wife/baby situation, lol!
  4. Some pics I got, just shitty phone pics... XK120? Looking so sweet just before the sun got on to the car park. Mmmmmm smooth And everyone loves a tractor!
  5. Yeah, and the dude that owned it was pretty cool. He has a diary that the previous owner kept with all his history of ownership, oil changes, minor repairs, mileage comparisons of premium vs regular fuel etc, so cool, and red FTW.... Was definitely the colour of the day.
  6. Saw you when I was on my back on Saturday, Rich. I may be keen to head down again this Sat, so will keep an eye on this thread.
  7. Cheers for teeing it up, was good, so many sweet cars. Farthest I've taken the Celica, and she ran without a hitch. Managed about 8.5L/100kM too! Might head over again next week the early start was so worth it for the sweet lack of traffic! Pity the trip home was all campers and boats! I'm pretty sure I know the guy that owns the cossie, but didn't manage to have a yarn with him.... Here's a pic that I took, very early in the piece... One of these things is not like the other ones.....
  8. Or Glass Science. Six of one/half a dozen of the other. Old-school car wax works quite well too, so I've heard.
  9. I'm pretty gutted about the forecasting, looked at Metvuw, Metservice, and the apple weather app, last night all looked bad, wasn't looking good early this morning, checked the above mentioned again, and still looked bad, locked in other plans. Not sure what it was like on the shore, but since 8am all we had out Papakura way was a little drizzle at about 11.30!!!! Bummed that it probably would have been ok. Bad news for you Afro..... Not how you want to finish your weekend!
  10. I'm keen as, IF the weather isn't too bad. By too bad I mean no worse than occasional showers. Forecast isn't looking good.....
  11. Well if anyone else is silly enough, pending weather (old Toyotas dissolve in rain), I'll be doing the early mission down and back by lunch time on the 4th, so would be happy to meet with any like-minded persons at the BP Drury motorway stop, leaving at say 5am...... Then head home after it all wraps up at 9am, back in time for lunch......
  12. We'll double fuckety fuck to that too! In all honesty, it's not ALL that bad, but sure does have a tendency to limit your options this early on. Can't wait till he's old enough to teach how to heel-and-toe though!
  13. I can't do the 25th, but the 4th sounds especially interesting....
  14. Fukin fukety fuck fuk. I've got a cranky 5-month old baby and a missus who's not coping, so that's me out dammit. Note to all fellow OS'ers. Don't have kids..... Was so excited to be able to bring the Celica too. Oh well next month, I suppose, if I'm not away on holiday, which, knowing my luck, I will be.
  15. Got WOF today, so I'll be there, with my Celica, obviously pending catastrophic failure of some component or other.... Fingers crossed.
  16. Tentative yes here, pending work and family commitments.
  17. No OS ride for me, not quite legal again/yet. Might drop by in the turbo juke......
  18. I will add that as per above it does get a little drone on moderate throttle up hills and such, but it's not too obtrusive, and usually I just chuck it down a cog and let it rev a little higher at lighter throttle.
  19. I'm running a 2.25" exhaust on my MA61 with two Borla mufflers, one where the cat would be and a twin tip "spitfire" at the rear with extended pipes. The mufflers weren't cheap, but sound awesome! Nice and quiet at idle and neutral throttle, but a good "rounded" tone when you give it some gas, if that makes sense. It gets a nice little bark on when you're right up top and hard up it. If you aren't in too much of a hurry to sort your exhaust and are in or near Auckland you could have a listen to mine sometime. Just mine won't be on the road for a month or so.
  20. *sob* so keen to check one of these meets out, but Celica not running, and 1 month old baby = not this time...... AND the after-plan sounds freaking awesome too. *sob*
