  1. what wrecker you go to?
  2. hey hey floor pans are a little different bfmr rear subframe bolts up two holes match up and the other 2 you need to drill out and maybe weld a threaded tube in or something. i know there a person around who has converted there bfmp to a bfmr ,driveshaft fits fine down the exhaust bit of the floor pan but was a bit close to hitting around the transfer i was going to convert my bfmp to 4wd but no gboxs would clear the v6
  3. that is true, got to love oldschool! ah yes seen that! that would work sweet just have the air coming from gbox side and just get a bit grinder happy to some of the bonnet support and weld some bars in that modeo reminds me of this lantis which has a very similar setup http://www.club323f.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=34772&start=330 to steel and tube again for some bends next week then
  4. i do like the above keen to give it a go! ,but wouldn't it get crazy hot like that even with heat wrapped exhaust and plates to absorb the heat? heat is the only thing worrying about the above pic for idea of bonnet space and where it would put the trumpets http://i841.photobucket.com/albums/zz340/michael0008/SAM_0228.jpg http://i841.photobucket.com/albums/zz340/michael0008/SAM_0283.jpg
  5. but i need more room!, should just mount engine down more
  6. i see where you guys are coming from , by the way i was just meaning the height of the factory manifold not the length of the runners. The bends would of been similar to what the sliver tops have as stock in the plenum only thing would be worrying about having them angled would start to put plenum very close to the radiator and exhaust manifolds and entry of the ports...
  7. yea kind of being thinking about this for awhile , quick paint drawing to show you factory manifold comes up about 6.5inches my itb length as they are is 7 inches then going to add a curved trumpet on top to gain another 4 inches. Then have two half manifolds with panel filters on top, so will stick like out a inch or so passed the bonnet so filters will nearly be kind of flush with bonnet so good amount of cold air coming in question would the half plenum be counted as some of the length of the runners? the plenum's are the things that confuse me :roll://i841
  8. cheers man that was with factory bushing in now have all Nolathane Bushings . I do see what you mean tho think it just looks like that as the front bumper wasn't bolted down . im going to have a big play with the suspension again as not 100% happy with it, going to fit rx7 lower ball joints at the front to get 10mm more track and going to make some adjustable control arms to add another 10mm of track for the rear too as im not happy with the camber in the rear as well and might make some top hats so i can adjust caster as well
  9. then out comes the engine again for the 80th time one manifold done next one to go... and then got to make injector boss 41mm tube flared out to the square size of a klze port then the ends flared a mm think i might have to chuck away my exhaust mani and remake one again as it probably will hit the radiator support...
  10. ah update time maybe been a busy few months with moving and about to change jobs again this week so not too much done on the étude started making some 40mm headers which will be about 22 inches long out of alot of bends, then into two 2.25 inch merge collectors then merge again into a single 2.5inch that will be merged over the gearbox .As theres no room to get both exhaust banks piping equal from under the car from the longer headers...then 2.5 inches mandrel bend pipe all the way to the back also started making the inlet manifolds to fit the 4age sliver top individual throttle bodies , which should look sweet when done ^new labtop to tune the ms2 v3 ecu with, also got a innovate mtx-l wideband and what else the engine is in 1000's of pieces till ive finished porting and modifying cams ect then give the engine a refreshing up
  11. solid edge ST4 is another good free program for drawing http://www.solidedge.com/free2d/ also anyone got a 4age silver top itb cad file?
  12. mazda 323 bfs have pump setups like that and theres heaps of them at pap. think the 323 bgs have a similar setup as well
  13. i see glad i didn't get one then, all tho would of been great to fit the battery under the bonnet haha should of just got two and run dual batteries as there not a bad price to buy
  14. man i love this starlet those vision dry cell batterys how many cca are they? i was looking at one but couldn't find it anywhere
  15. boo! small update for the movember enkei rpf1s 16x7 35p wrapped in toyos drbs 205/45/16 and slammed on bc gold type br coilovers $$$..... 5 stud bf! also fully underside of the car painted in chassis black and looks sooo nice and then removed sub frames and fuel tank ect paint in por15 nice and black and non rusty yes! ultra racing strut brace and using bg top hats mod like everything else.. more goodies arrived again, some still on there way and some slammed with 4 wheels on omg first time in awhile kl internal and external adjustable cams gears , so this allows you to adjust the intake/exhaust off the one head separately as the gears run off each other so doesn't advance intake and retard exhaust simultaneously like the stock ones would do. and flaring tool for making the lip on trumpets and flaring tool to get a very nice transact from a circle port aka itb to a klze port which is squareish... engine bay in the need of some work, chassis redrilled to use bg top hats and crap got underseal every where will make a front strut brace up later to cover old top holes and to go around itbs! .kind of very keen to keep the big rear bumper next update December or jan sometime and hopefully painted bfmp style and all new brushes and guards rolled big time with 205 tyres and 35p wheels quite hellaflush and itbs hopefully fitted to a klze
  16. dum question but with the rust kill stuff ive been using it on little rust surface spots that ain't flaky or anything ,will that stop it for good or should i just wip the grinder out for every little bit or do they just prevent it from getting worst/covers it up but still can spread
  17. hmm might go to this one ,to meet you odd os people
  18. nice the hair dresser mx5s go good whats it got in it a bp or a b6ze? cough cough klze or fe3 it...
  19. straight or offset a couple cm back and probably make it out of steel
  20. hey got some brembos to fit on my hubs and was going to make adapter plates for them ,was wondering what the rules are for the thickness of the metal ect for the adapters cheers
  21. sweet thats good to know guys , so ze it is mostly keen for hillclimbs and road and track snoozin what mods did your mates lantis have? i agree the klze is a good choice most people bitch about it being alot more heavier then a bpt but i think its least or the same as the blocks are aluminum.Cant wait to take a klze for a spin in a bfmp as they don't weigh much at all ,930kgs according to wiki
  22. bit too late for that the kf is in a shit loads of pieces on the garage floor...i thought the class was to 2.5L not 2L im new at the track days ect hmm if thats the case the kf might be the go
  23. yea doesn't seem to promising that it will fit ,but will get some other hubs next week and see what i can do with a custom adapter plate, really want to fit them behind the rpf1s as there sweet wheels.might have to spacer them out a bit and pump the guards
  24. ok gave up on the 4wd thing ended up trying 3 gearboxes and none worked...evo 1-3 ,evo 4-5 and a st185 gearbox so now its going to be a NA track monster with my itbs , big cams and of course a klze some updates since last one its currently getting painted and paneled no more crap mazda brakes , little bit big but oh well 4pot fronts and two pot rears off evo 6 next to lantis v6 caliper then i got some Enkei RPF1 16x7 30 offset only problem so far is the dam big evo brembos on mazda ba lantis hubs and getting pushed out too far like a 360mm rotor, looks like im going to have to fit evo hubs so the brembos bolt on and can fit under a 16' wheel...
  25. yea seen pics of that wagon nick_m its crazy ive gone off the whole 4wd thing now just theres no cheap gearbox out there that will work cheers heaps for the ideas guys ,instead the car is slowly turning into a track day car/road legal now will update my thread yea just whip the grinder out and weld that shit in there, if i did do that i would mount it longitudinal with like a sub box
