  1. Yummo, stuck at work till 7:30ish but will be there
  2. Yup, was 35 dorra each including gist
  3. Maybe that's the way and just weld the bastard on
  4. Aren't the GSXR carbs just CV ones with a 'flat' slide?
  5. I had a similar dilemma, I originally planned to make it longer but I'm glad I didn't now. Will get a pic for you on Sat
  6. A custom shaft may be the way to go, modifying the existing axle will probably be more work than knocking up a new one. I could then use some decent bearings which would help the double pulley (all the way) I was thinking of using.
  7. Question: Can you get belt pulleys that fit onto a square taper bicycle bottom bracket?
  8. I've been procrastinating with sorting getting drive to the rear wheel So here's a cool operating manual instead.
  9. That's gonna be a sweet garage Can't wait to see pics of it filled with cars
  10. Am gonna try and use the sweet mower handle bars Now have fuel hose and throttle set up and the engine is running well but there is something missing off the throttle cable causing too much slack making it hard to keep constant revs. Time to go rummage in the garage for something to fix it.
  11. Not 100% but this is the mower it came off http://www.oldlawnmowerclub.co.uk/moms/mom30-aks.htm
  12. I saw someone with one of those engines powering up the Ngaio hill today He was loling at the cyclists he was passing, made my day
  13. Cheers for the comments guys For brakes I'll probably use the existing coaster brake, here's an mspaint diagram but that may not work depending on how the rear wheel is driven, alternate solution is to use the above idea but adapt it and use a coaster brake on the front wheel and have the chain running to a handle bar lever All good Manu, we need more poo-strokes stinking up the track For KK
  14. Is that the stuff you can breathe in and has the opposite effect to helium? i.e. you sound like Deicide rather than Katy Perry
  15. Have made some progress Frame in its crude jig Tank and crossbar, I left out the second crossbar as the plug and fuel tap were gonna be too close and I couldn't be fucked trying to make something fit Welded and built up, need to find some smaller bars and get drive train sorted
  16. Was just thinking about that, should send a tumbleweed in our place Also, keen for VTAKI meet
  17. Finally made a start on my proper drome racer. It's gonna be boardtrack style (again ) but based on bmx's/20" wheels with a Villiers from an Atco reel mower 97cc two smoke Frame design, needed to work out the angles and if everything will fit. I want to use the Atco tank in between the rails but need to accomodate the filler and the tap underneath, it'll be tight but hopefully will fit. Currently at Noice tyres to go on it Plans for drive train is to run a belt from the crank to a jackshaft, the clutch will be a lever tensioning this belt, then another belt from the jackshaft to a second 20" rim mounted to the rear wheel. Hoping for a reduction of around 11:1 which these motors seem to prefer. Need to go buy some steel now
  18. It is an FA50 so the wheel bolts straight onto it, the engine then bolts to the frame using the original brackets and spindle on top and also onto the old centrestand mounts underneath
  19. Ha, that's my one, no build thread though. I got the home made frame with a bunch of scooter parts I bought, it's a bit of a cheat as it just runs a scooter engine rather than something agricultural but the sketchiness makes up for that. Here is a sweet picture of the cocoa pops used to hold the steering tube onto the frame, got 61kph out of it on Sunday
  20. Epic turnout TRPiHyyGBF4 mblXMb6GSns SNvZx7wOxHU
  21. Bums, I was all loaded up ready to go but it was pissing down here, then it fined up as I was heading to work, shoulda called in sick
  22. Sweet! I have already made my changes for the next meet, upped the main jet size and am running no head gasket now which should bump the compression a little. I also made a start on my villiers machine, I won't use my board track bike but will make something similar but out of bmx's so it's lower EDIT: Will also bring HD video cam to capture HD machine/rider failure
  23. Yarns, good pizza, mum jokes, 2 smoke shenanigans Another kapai meet
