If you have a jigsaw get some 'clean cut' blades, even with the 3mm ply they will leave a nice smooth edge btw sweet little car!

Gravity was enough to drop the brass slide down again but the vibes would make it shimmy up and down. The first thing I noticed was a lack of a spring, that and some spacers which were causing slackness in the cable, it must have been a pain in the arse when it was still a reel mower, speeding up randomly haha I might keep the throttle where it is currently located just in front of the seat (yeah suicide throttle) and use a foot clutch, would be cool to have no controls on the bars

I'm still pining for those boats Not the same style but the activities are much the same i.e. chicks in bikinis and posing in short shorts

Cheers man, hopefully have it done soon, I tend to take too long thinking about different ideas and waiting for parts/inspiration but I'm happy with how it looks just need to make it go now. I think I have fixed the erratic idle now too, the engine vibration would move the slide up an down in the carb making it rev/stall when you didn't want to so I put a spring from a bic pen on top of the slide (I assume there is supposed to be one, there is a hole it sits in, the old duffer who owned must have taken it apart and lost a few bits) and that now holds it in the position you set it at with the throttle.
