I shot over to the drome this afternoon for a quick test run. Everything ran well but only managed a few more kph, felt like it was four stroking at one point, moar R&D needed

What about an alloy one?

Would modifying the emulsion tube be worthwhile? Sounds like blocking some of the lower emulsion holes can richen up WOT

The pics are a bit deceptive, there is about 33 degrees lean angle before they touch down, it isn't much but still more than a factory Harley lol. If I go fast enough to touch down I'll definitely change them to some foldup pegs. The finish on mine is down to pure laziness haha, if I get it running sweet I might treat it to some paint for dromageddon, I quite like the green and yellow on the tank and I've been thinking of polishing the flywheels for some bling.
-
Cheers man, I'd like to at some point but I've been too lazy to pull the engines out haha How did you do yours? widen and smooth out the ports?
-
Keen as, all ready to roll now Had nothing to do today so I changed the footpegs as the heel to flywheel/clutch tolerance was pretty small, new ones are kiddies handlebars with the old plates and rubbers mounted.

Not yet Yeah rear engine is good now, was a massive hole in the inlet where I cut n shut it, slopped some jbweld on it, job done. I need to make some steering stops, the rake makes it such a pain in the ass to handle, some kind of stand would be good too

Lawnmower tensioner done and correct size chain fitted, I think it's finally at the point it should have been for Dromageddon.

Cool, electroplated frame should look pretty swish
-
Cheers for the offer man, much appreciated I'll try local first though Cool, only need about a metre, need to drop your patch off to you too

I've got one of those kick start setups floating around, could be the answer if I directly link the engines. Anyhoo Need some new belts now Anyone know where I can get some 6~mm OD copper pipe in Wellington? I want to use some to tidy up my fuel lines, might try the brew shop in Newtown

It was about $170 including postage, so much easier, just set and forget. Definitely runs better now but #3 is still super rich. Ruled out the electrical side of things so need to look at the carbs and check the float height, jets then a sync.
-
Geez that's looking sweet, top work
-
Had some trouble with the points so instead of buying new ones I've gone with an electronic setup. Had to piss around making some shims as it was pinching the advance mechanism but it moves sweet now. No gas and resurfacing of my street means no test ride yet but the spark looks nice and fat. New Dyna S ignition

Rad, coming along nicely. Those carbs look uber sexy in real life

Saw a dude running a charge pipe made of pvc on his GSXR1100, lasted a lot longer than expected but eventually went bang a few months later after many high boost runs. He did it cos he was a plumber iirc he replaced it it with the same thing haha

I've got some blue loctite if you want to use it, it's hand tool removal rated. Or I've got some red if you want more stick

It looked like Mana Esplanade was too high for you too judging by the sparks thrown -
Got my replacement tyres on, getting the knobbly off was a bit of a pain but some sunlight detergent made putting the new ones on a piece of piss. Rebuilt all the calipers, rear brake it sweet now, the front master cylinder ended up leaking, poo bums, picked up another from an 80's Kwaka for $12 so back in business then one of the newly rebuilt calipers starts leaking. Fuck. Then while taking that one apart I dropped one of the brake pads (that I got from the UK cos anywhere else cost an arm and a leg) in a tray of oil. Motherfuck. So it can get fucked and I'll run a single disc, shit didn't match anyway. So other than than that I just need to rivet my drive chain, put the exhaust back on, bolt on two side covers, attach a chain guard and we're away to the re-vin man.

+1 Keen to see tyres and bike in its full glory/nats edition

Yeah hell ride! Sprockets and chain should arrive then I'm just waiting for some tyres to turn up.
