  1. Good, stuff. Nice to see it going to some use....
  2. Did you end up running that elec dizzy I gave you a while back? I'm selling another (refurbished one this time) one on the tard at the mo
  3. It worked perfect for me, mine had 3.3l Nissan diesel in it so was screaming its tits off at 75k with stock box/diff. Conversion allowed to cruise at ~90k fine. For towing heavier loads the clutch did appreciate it if I had it in low box though
  4. Awesome. I can highly suggest the rangerover diff swap. Be aware you need the entire nugget to do the change, and it must be from an early (10 spline) RR - but I'm sure you knew that. I did a bit of a pic/writeup in my old build thread.
  5. Pulled any of the paint/bog off yet? Someone hasn't put a whole lot of effort into hiding their work... Looks like straight forward other than the "damage front chassis both sides...has had a repair"
  6. I've got a cheap handheld one which should work. Where you want it dropped off?
  7. SOLD! Gone to Chch....
  8. You get all the brazing out? I bought an AC/DC/pulse TIG the other week you are welcome to have a play with some time.
  9. Chur, I think it is a sensible price but I am sure some smart bugger will try and knock me down. Will be firm at that $$$ as have had a bit of interest already.
  10. Just did some marshelling for the Otago rally- was sitting out the back of Waipori falls so was able to do some 'spirited' driving along one of the long rally stages. Was a bit of a laugh the whole day with this and a good one to be running without the canvas.
  11. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=727808323&ed=true
  12. Boom yo Have already had a few people interested in this so not sure if it'll make trademe....
  13. Failed WOF on: Speedo not working Rust in A-pillar (I picked the bog out the other week) Rear wheelbearing seal leaking All of which I knew about, should get this done tonight/tomorrow as this is required for marshalling in the Otago Rally this weekend.
  14. 4k ono. I will get the seats retrimed for any OS purchase
  15. Coz I bought a disco the other day - new job means more coin but losing company car. Hence no need for this. Plus the sale will fund the next project....
  16. Just done a few 100 ks in this on the way to our duck shooting spot and back. Ran like a dream but ear plugs are a must Is essentially now for sale - need to tidy it up for the tard
  17. Done a bunch of things which make this a whole lot better, most of which you cant see... Redid rear chassis spring bushes (prick of a job) Tweeked door tops and reglazed Tightened steering box mount to stop flexing. And, bonnet mounted the spare, good?
  18. Twasn't a 'gentlemans demonstration' either - some of these guys were gunning for it . The black Austin Healey 100/4 above was my fav - had a cobra 289ci V8 jammed into it in '57. Raced/crashed and the guy has spent the last 14 years restoring it. Truely an awesome vehicle.
  19. I really should have taken more photos, was a pretty awesome event - will be back next year, hopefully to crew for one of the cars.
  20. Yep, only for cash money money
  21. Do you still have the original straight axle steering box?
  22. I'm probably going to be up for the racing on sat
  23. I'm gonna drag this up.... The IRD were good to me so I went and splashed out on a AC/DC/pulse unit like that posted above, even got an owner bottle and a new helmet. Had 20min playing in the shed and man I am hooked, having so much control of the weld pool over what I am used to with MIG is incredible. Had a play on some panel steel and like how you can have such a small, concentrated pool with the pulse setting. I can safely say I'll only be using the MIG for quick and dirty jobs in the future and look forward to improving the skills
