  1. Found this photo of it at Riverside, you can't really see it, but the paint was really quite bad, with multiple spider cracks and flaking paint. As it turned out when I did the panel work, it was sprayed in enamel when they repaired it, so it was reacting with the original paint in a few places, never mind, a bunch of sanding later and I managed to get rid of it.
  2. ^ huh, then why do they supply you with grease normally?
  3. I have had this thing a while but have just started working on it again so I thought I would make a post. It was orginally my Great Grandma's grocery getter and, bless her, she had a bit of an incident involving a concrete post sometime in the mid to late 70's, anyway it go fixed by a reputable shop in Christchurch and she keep driving it untill the mid 90's, when it was parked up in a garage. Anyway, I pulled it out of the shed in 2010, and spent some time working on it to get it going, which I did, and after redoing all of the ball joints in the front end it got a WOF, so I dailyed it for a while until I got the job up here, so it sat idle at Riverside for a while I got my shit together to move it, and once I did it proceeded to sit in the garage for another year due to having some rust in the bottom of the front guards that needed fixing. The plan was to get it going for the Leadfoot Cruise, but as it transpired it didn't work out, but nevermind, I got the rust cut out of it and then decided that the average paintjob needed to redone. I digress, but here are a few pictures of how it is progressing. This is how it looked as my Daily In pimer In the booth After the Basecoat And the Clearcoat And unmasked After blacking out the guards So all in all I'm super stoked with how it came out, especially seeings as I had never even set my eyes on a spray gun before a couple of weeks ago. Now I just need to get it back together. Discussion
