  1. Any plans for disposing of those valves? I'd happily take them off your hands if you were ok with it.
  2. You're not one of those dirty scaffolders that whistles at all the first year lasses when they walk past are you?
  3. This is the internet. A place where man can be whoever/whatever he wants to be simply by changing his avatar. Anonymity is the sacred cow of this realm. Facebook can fuck right off.
  4. There's a few of us in engineering
  5. Good to see this car's getting around like the beautiful lass she is. TOP TIP:When you get the chance, have a look under the front tweeter cover (It should come off quite easily). You might score yourself a tin or two from one of its previous owners Have fun and take good care of her.
  6. I still think the seat could do with a touch up. Have you got a boat/car upholsterers nearby? For $30/box of waikato they would do the whole stitched leather look (albeit vinyl) and it would be the cherry on top of this sweet sweet cake.

This thing is rad to the core! Any ideas for a seat? Flat or race spec? Keep up the good work.

Nah keep it strictly mechanical I reckon. Gages and dials win over LEDs any day.
  10. My grandfather used to have a gun metal grey turbo cosmo with red interior when I was a kid. It could be started with a screw driver and we all thought it was hideous and "square looking". Granddad himself used to call it "รค heap of shit". Sometimes you wish you could go back in time and give your former self a smack for being so ignorant. I remember after he died (2001) we put it on the trade and exchange and a couple of lads from the Waitaks picked it up for $1700 without the number plates. Anyone know what happened to granddad's cosmo? I hope its still alive and getting a good thrashing like it deserves.
  11. I'm good mates with the guy who used to own this a couple of years ago. Some of my fondest memories were of cruising around town late at night causing general ruckus and having good times listening to choons. Highlights were road tripping down to the south island doing skids where permitted. Great car! . Ahh the good old days when you could pick up a chaser for less than 3k Treat her nicely Kurt... the ghosts of many youths haunt its lush red interior.
  12. Holy shit you're garage is sweet!
  13. That last pic was rather delicious
  14. Long time lurker- thought I'd contribute for once. This is my 1792 Honda CB125. I bought the bike fully stock last year and it was in dire need of some rat spec mods. It is over 40 years old so classic rego will make me smile. Just waiting for the throttle assembly to arrive as well as some less chrome/shit looking indicators. Future plans: -Figure out some rad method of attaching the license plate. I was thinking of having it swivel by a hinge from the back of the seat (yes, it is a skateboard ). -Possible engine rebuild -Definitely give it an overall performance tune -Find some dodgey workshop in Onehunga that will give me a WOF -Learn to ride it Below is a MS paint rendition by my brother of what it would look like to ride.
  15. ^hahaha, this made my day
  16. Good to see some international activity on the forum. All the best with your new ride- looks sweet!
  17. I can't help you with the overheating problems, but if your brakes are "pooz" it sounds like you might be having problems with your flush valve- a bit of plumbing would be advisable and maybe some disinfectant. Congrats on the successful test drive though...
  18. Haha, what a coincidence, its good to see you're still into your DIY. We should have a Scimitar vs Hunter drag when they're both up'n'running.
  19. I went round to Tom's today to help shift his Hillman Munter for transport ot the auto sparkey tomorrow. here are some pics. Included in them is a poor quality photo of the fur seat headrests which I sewed up whilst watching Coronation St and drinking tea... 20. Looks like a pretty boss ride! What does the interior look like, and what colour do you plan on painting it? Make sure you report back to us when you get it running and take it out for a fang around.
