  1. Wow, creepy as fuck photo of what looks like a black ghost getting out of my car! Ew yuck, I am so unkeen for any more food...
  2. Thanks, but I did get hold of some and still no sound comes out of it. I suspect the internal amp is fucked/what would I know? I think it's probably at the point now where I should pay someone who knows what they're doing to look at it, or cut my losses, accept I bought a pretty looking shitter and move on.
  3. Nah, bring crayons. Afterwards we can send all the delicious orange ones to Dave for consumption.
  4. Even keener! My collection is awesome and keeps growing but I still can't play any of them due to technical difficulties.
  5. Keen! I'd prefer that Friday over the Saturday as I've got an engagement party to got to on the 17th.
  6. I was always on your side on this one. This has been a childhood dream.
  7. Ha! Deep down he was swooning for Severin.
  8. Yeah Dave's Rover suggestion was particularly unappealing. I think I'll give that one a miss.
  9. Discussion: viewtopic.php?f=18&t=32174&hilit=shaz+vb+308 I’ve had Severin, this 1980 VB, for nearly two years but I never bothered making a thread until now. I guess there was nothing of note happening to it apart from general maintenance and keeping it WOF legal. I’d been mourning the absence of my former VC Commodore for ages and was searching for a suitable replacement. I found this one on Trade Me languishing in Hamilton and got the lovely Mikuni to have a quick look for me. It hadn’t had a WOF for some time and the reg. was on hold. $600 later I was heading up there with KK, Campylobacter, Goat and a gargantuan trailer. When we got it back to Wellington I was pretty overjoyed to discover that it needed sweet fuck all for a WOF (just brakes and a ball joint) and I was driving it to Palmy Swap meet just days later. So as you can see, the paint is pretty laughable. Someone’s done a horrific job on the front end and there are runs all down the guards. I’m fairly certain the bonnet was done with a broom. He’s delightfully haggard looking and to be honest, doing anything about that isn’t anywhere near my list of priorities right now. I've been running around with it in roughly the same state since then, having only replaced all the missing bits of plastic trim. What’s most important right now is that it's not keeping that 202 forever. Yes I finally have my hands on a 308, so I’m grinning like a spaz. More news to follow as it happens.
  10. Holy shitballs! Where did the last month go? I shall be in attendance.
  11. I consumed a bottle of Scrumpy and several bourbons in this shed last weekend. Would trade again. It truly is immense. For scale, it is even taller than Mr EURON8 as demonstrated by rafter chin ups.
  12. I don't want to lose my carpark in town because they're super limited at the place I'm staying so I may just have to stay put in the central city. We're planning to smash a few bottles of BYO wine at Shochiku near the corner of Queen Street at about 6pm if you want to join us for dinner.
  13. Damn, combining pre gig festivities looks awkward. I didn't realise they were so far away from each other at completely different starting times.
  14. Is anyone keen for some early evening pre Sisters of Mercy/Dillinger Escape Plan drinks in town somewhere?
  15. Joe's spare ticket got sold to Bizzo anyway. Sell some of your flatmate's stuff to fund a Sisters Of Mercy ticket though! Oh, and let's do something on Sunday. Pillow fights?
  16. Those photos look like they're crying out to made into a flip book (obviously with the addition of more pictures). Manu, please make this happen.
  17. To avoid spamming up the other thread, we're arriving sometime on Sunday 19 and will be gone on the morning of Thursday 23. We're hitting the Roger Waters gig at Vector on Monday night (which Joe is trying to sell a ticket for) and Sisters of Mercy at the Powerstation on the Wednesday, so it's most likely that we will be doing some drinking on those nights. The 22nd is my *cough* 30th birthday, so celebrating/commiserating is inevitable. Let us know if you're keen to play on any of those days. Mr Dodgy, I am keen to meet your black son.
  18. Yes! I will be staying at le Château d'Edward on Sunday with Mr KK in tow and I'll be around Auckland until Thursday. I shall stop spamming Ed's thread now.
  19. So I get to write my name in it with a stick this weekend?
  20. Oh balls. This is the Wednesday after the Wednesday I'll be in Auckland. This could have been entertaining.
  21. I sincerely this has nothing to do with the spaghetti that was served to me on Sunday night...
  22. Yeah, the sun hates me. I spite of reasonable sunscreen application I still managed to get burnt on Sunday.
  23. I failed at taking photos again, apart from a small amount when we arrived on the first day. Sweet weekend though in spite of a little too much sun exposure and getting devoured by insects. Will trade again.
  24. I shall squander work time on the internets in protest then.
