  1. Meh, just come get the rims, I don't want/need them. Yeah I will have a think about trickey budget lowering with out cutting the standard springs.
  2. Atleast you got it back. Thats more than most people get.
  3. That's a milestone. I'm sure that we can make up a decent low buck lowering job for your car Felixx. Do you want these steel wheels as spares to get widened?
  4. Wow! Give webber specs or similar for a diaphram. Or use one out of a spare carb. If everything else on the carb is as it should be you will be ok with the diaphram only
  5. What or who is ORE? They sound lame.
  6. It will go through the cert no problem. If it fails it will be minor. Looking forward to seeing it one day.
  7. Aswell as a track day lets go for a look at this for maximum LOLs.
  8. Like a boss! Probably one mechanic being a twat. I think VTNZ have a roster of things to fail sometimes. This week it's spring bushes, next week it's inner tie rod ends etc.
  9. Its hard to say from a photo, yeah if they are really stuffed you will be able to feel it by hand. Take it to the local VINZ etc tell the inspectors the deal and ask them to take a look, if they are quiet they might do it for free. If you can't get it WOFed shop about for the repairs Toyota will have a maximum hourly charg out rate.
  10. They look ok to me. It's hard to say with out seeing them in the flesh. They will crack on the surface but you have to check them to see if they are cracked right through.
  11. It looks like a little black gasket the same size as the cover with a liittle steel cup on it. Edit: what Tortron said.
  12. All good. That is the accelerator pump. Carefully undo the 4 screws and replace that diaphram.
  13. You're all over it Fliboi. Its the accelerator pump, there is a diaphram behind that cover. Undo the 4 screws take the diaphram out, watch out there will be a small spring behind it. You should be able to get a diaphram from a carburettor repair shop or off a spare carb.
  14. Hey man. From memory the flasher unit earths through the indicator lights. The switches connect the flasher to the bulbs. Makes me think that your indicator switch is dirty or not making connection properly. Good luck.
  15. Hi Andy. Yeah I am going to gut the interior ie remove the rear seat but leave the crusty door cards etc in the car. No one would be able to sit in the back anyway as the driving position is moving back to match the fire wall. I have a couple of old low back race/bucket seats in Auckland I just need to stump up the money to freight them down or try and get them on a plane as child seats when I come up over xmas. Yes the widened steels will be the permanent wheels for the Anglia
  16. Has he by chance undone the sway bar link rod nuts? Ask him what size spanner/socket he used to undo the "torsion" bar adjuster nut.
  17. Gotta be a bit carefull with Escorts, go to low and the camber goes way out. It looks cool but eats your tyres fast. 50mm and see how you it looks. Expect to buy some camber plates though.
  18. Revolutions? http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-par ... 426263.htm Take the mud flaps off and lower it a bit would be wheri I would start. It looks like a mint car.
  19. Cheers, I don't see it happening though. I still have a lot to do. May be next Christmas. Yeah I love my large industrial building too. Thanks. Its AL.... Pity it would be awesome if another OS member used to own it. High praise mate, you'll make me blush. I'm a mechanic so I had better be OK at working on cars. Love you too Glen, you can be one of my sons if you want. Can you work in with the my other kids?
  20. PM me, I'll have a look at them for/with you.
  21. Fairly mundane update here, So Exhaust manifold made and turbo mounted. Fire wall on drivers side re,redone, reinforced and pedal box mounted, accelerator pedal attached permanently. New drivers door hinge pins turned up fitted and drivers door back on. New drivers floor made and welded in, passangers side cut up. It needs rebuilding like the drivers side. Got some wheels too. Thanks. viewtopic.php?f=18&t=25081
  22. Yeah I know what you mean. I'd be tempted to do it my self I hate having to rely on other people and it's a good excuse to buy a welder. If you can work in with the panel beater though that would be outstanding. I straightened my Super Sport frame the other day too.
