  1. Try and get hold of some Genuine Mazda 5w30 oil. It works wonders with noisy Mazda lifters. Pm me If you can't get hold of any I can get you some / post it.
  2. Cheers Chris. I started to sort out your parts tonight too. I'll crack into them tomorrow.
  3. Low spec update. I've recycled the forks off the blue bike. The new steering column has had the end turned down so it sits tightly inside the existing one. It's tig welded around the joint. I'm pretty happy with it. Capped ends on the seat stays and a bridge salvaged from an old seat stay. Since last update I decided the chain stays were a bit short, restricting the size of the chain ring I could run. I've lengthened it by about 25mm and adjusted the length of the seat stay to suit. Born Loser's super sweet Renown/BSA is here for repairs, a comparison photo seemed in order.
  4. Blah blah. You shall have no lankiness, I've beaten you to it and so has cael23.
  5. Haha thanks Andy, I tried to edit the title but I can't. Rollback or some such. the green one is still the lankiest by about 15mm.
  6. Hey people. This has been coming along again The day after I posted this I was looking at it and decided it looked shit. So off it came. I wanted them to look more like this. So this is what I came up with. The cut and shut seat stays are close to done too. So with the drop outs on and the chain and seat stays all in place it was time to put some wheels on it and see how it looks. I'm Pining!
  7. Eat a dick. Come get it or make one in your lathe. You keep saying you're an engineer...
  8. Fuel line yes. 4130 bike rack tube, not so much.
  9. There's three cars you wouldn't expect to be parked together.
  10. A lot of Christchurchs OS users are agoraphobic? A bit of a drive to somewhere could be good, Waimak gorge, Diamond harbour, or some such?
  11. Orton park sounds nice but I will be pushing my luck to make the first two stops.
  12. Looks great, motherfucker. So it's all done bar a brake swap?
  13. Sorry mate I don't follow you. How do you mean bleeding the cylinder onward? Did you bench bleed the master cylinder before you fitted it? How does the pedal feel when the engine is not running? Firm? Low?
  14. So there's nipples on the master cylinder and that's where you bleed it off? Bleed the whole system to each wheel untill you see clean fluid. See how it feels after that.
  15. Mist it with thinner and waterblast again?
  16. The weather is pretty good here too. I don't know about Rolleston though. It looks shit to me.
  17. Wow. That looks good. You'd have to be pleased.
  18. Any of my dodgeyness would have been wrecked by the branch guys a long time ago! Cars looking good. I'm glad you're keeping it.
  19. Wooooo and a post deleting moderator too.
  20. Guts. Yeah I have filled the blanks in a few times my self. Your car is looking good though. You'd be glad to have have the airbags working and such.
  21. I see Zeb is now the rep for Dunedin & Otago, Who is the new rep/reps for Canterbury and further north?
  22. VG What! It was further along than your build thread when I saw it 14 months ago. Just saying it's to good to die on the lawn.
