  1. +1 Milwaukee fuel range all day. Can strip a THD100 Volvo engine on one charge. Hector Jones is the best to buy from. Good warranty to.
  2. My fuel pump us wired so it needs oil pressure so I'll run it off that circuit. You can also get smart relays that know when the cars running. They come in day running light kits it picks up the extra voltage.
  3. Just a 1600 crossflow with a bcf2 cam and a single sidedraft dellorto (twins when funds allow)

  7. All sorted now guys. Ended up getting shorter inserts to suit some camber plates.
  8. I had a similar issue on a falcon. It's not exactly a recommend fix but 15w-40 with a bottle of moreys oil stabilizer and the problem went away .
  9. Right so I have a Mk1 escort 2 door. It has the larger top hat. I want to fit roller top hats and need shorter inserts. Anyone know what the best options are? Have used the search function but some of what I've found is neither here nor there. I was considering ordering the tophats from burton but if there is a better option?
  10. Hahaha. I got it super cheap because the guy thought it was blown up or something and a whole bunch of other issues. So he towed it to me. Got it driving in 5 mins. Compression tested mint. He was guttered

  13. Yeah can hit foot flat and it goes good after 4000. I also think overfueling. Cars not at home so just getting all the ideas I can before going out and working on it
  14. Hey guys have a 12abp starlet I want to get rid of. I'm having an issue where if I rev it up is misses and when it's driving I can't go full throttle until exactly 4000rpm or more otherwise it misses and pops. It's got a nikki 4 barrel with mechanical secondaries. I think it's a facet fuel pump. I have no fuel pressure reg so I'm thinking it's got too much fuel pressure. Compressions at 95psi. Any ideas Rotary guys or generally clever cunts?

  20. So I have a Mk1 Escort Coupe with an sr20det in it. The diff ratio sucks. goes like 80ks in 1st. Its a BorgWarner lsd out of a v8 falcon (apparently) Can I use the crownwheel and pinion out of this http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-accessories/holden/diffs-axles/auction-789203984.htm and keep the rest of the lsd gear? Havnt had a BorgWarner apart before and thought I might as well ask instead of fucking around just to see
  21. Just clean then, scuff them up with high grit sandpaper (drums and shoes) get them reeeaaallly hot on the way and try them even swap the drums over. Do alot of mucking around with this sort of stuff at my work
