  1. no shouldnt do, doesn't show it earthed in the manual wiring diagram
  2. yes it does fit, would need to be re-jetted as mine ran rich at idle and had a small bog down on initial acceleration, but once it got going it was great. other option is to find a 1300 gt carb, wouldnt have to be re-jetted. I know palmside in chch will have one.

  5. check they are earthed up at the bumper, mine stopped working and they had just come loose but that was only my front ones...

  7. Did a bit more today, mounted engine, dropped brake booster and installed accelerator linkage for 40's plenty of room for ram tubes!
  8. yeah i dont think i will paint it, sweet those wheel would be mint, then i can get them widened i reckon, 7's in the front 8's in the back, see how i go. Do you have hub caps with them? Ive just dropped the engine in, lowering the brake booster when i get back too it
  9. 14x8 even better! dam they don't take hub caps, might have to try buy the ones back off the van and widen them, he said he didn't like them

So i bought this off camo_78 for nice as cheap for parts/panels for another car, scrapped that other car so decided to do this up. just going to throw it all together and take it for a warrent< plan to spend as little as possible on this car! any suggestion on what i should do with the body work is welcome, at this stage im just going to sand back the bog, maybe expose some bare metal and see what happens To the car.. dragged it in the garage tonight changed the front end over to a complete one also changed the front guard, doesnt line up that well as the drivers door as it isn't original, hope to change it back

  13. i bought a quaife short shift for me escort box, makes the box feel brand new again, i also had a noise coming from my fan/heater, i wiggled the vents/shutters at the bottom and it seemed to fix it, some vibration of some sort i guess.
  14. yeah, i know a guy with a Sliver top in his rally car, makes 120HP a the wheels, so yeah same as a pinto, maybe a little lighter...
  15. yeah was sad in a way, lots of good times in the van, cruising back in the day, chucking a mattress in it and going camping and other shenanigans. yup 4 door is next, think i told you that im going to scrap the other 2door sport i have, too much rust, but one of the front guards will end up on the 4door now ill make a thread for it in the next few weeks
  16. Today the van was sold for $3500, the guy who bought it got a good deal, was an older guy who had been looking for one for 3 years and has good intentions for it so im happy picture of the van driving off Thanks David
