  2. shame you arn't 2hrs south. my mate likes beer tokens
  3. i believe Goatboy from Toyspeed has a stash of them
  4. Crikey Ken, i thought you and him got on, and i was the one with the bias?? i must say i was amused when he clearly remembered finding Nettie's Sport, but quicky suffered from amnesia when i asked if he knew what happened to the original Sport engine (considering i got the Sport carbs/manifold with the car!!). a guy in Dunedin who i bought a spare engine/box off, never got the motor he was getting Brian to build for him.
  5. i'm sure it has been mentioned before on this forum...................... AIR LIQUIDE for all gas needs. $120/PA for rental, $80 to fill Argon, about $65 Argonsheild in D sized bottles. they should be in most towns, as most pubs/ restaurants get their gas from them
  6. the best thing with brake imbalance,is it often is the opposite wheel causing the issue, hence the reason to follow K-trips procedure (except he missed the bit where you scuff the bejesus out of the drums and linings with 60grit emery for mor bite!!)
  7. X2, but worthy of a phone call as a former organiser/COtC of this event, it would be super simple to group the cars (as we used to) according to speed to keep similar cars together. that said , it is usually full of wannabes with RB's being dicks
  8. any of you good fellas know where i would find either a cam cap(SOHC) or small B/E cap, that can be bored out to around 35mm?? was thinking maybe Ford 2.0 OHC cam or similar?? need to fix my lathe so any help would be super cool
  9. Is that Bonita's old car? will keep an eye out
  10. if you a cheap bastard like me, find the cheapest(wrecker) solid or braided 8mm line you can get your mits on for your feed from surge pot
  11. do you have an EFI tank or just std?
  12. thought so. if the UJ's seem fine, i'd be having a good look at tyres/wheels/wheel bearings, as the extra camber puts more load on everything after the diff
  13. hard case that you went with MU flares. when i was working at a local wrecker, i thought they would work on mt TE71 ralllycar. i know now that they will.
  14. don't the trumpy's camber over when lowered??
  15. how old are the tyres/ how long have they been on the rims?? mate had this issue on a A12 Morrie thou, wheels were balanced, but wern't running true. fitted new tyres to that axle and problem fixed.
  16. are we sure it didn't get swallowed up by liquifuckseverything?
  17. personally reckon the track should be fenced off to keep the genuine dickheads out. last time i was up there, morons had been doing standstills which had worn through to substrate, and there were 2 spots where cars had been burnt out in the track surface. at least if it was fenced, and by paying a bond for a key?, you could lock yourselves in and not be in breach of any 'public' road rulings.
  18. if the rubbers are that rooted, then you'll probably have a rust issue behind them. the front rubber one the bugeye starlet i done up, resemble closer to a pineapple ring , it was that perished.... plenty of uro on the re-fit!!
  19. aren't they rubber fit? if so, it is supermuch easier to take window out
  20. funny you should say that. the same question was asked of the Toyota populace, and the best answer was a slight improvement on yours.
  21. 8 bolt, 4 pinion, it ain't no T.
  22. the mikuni / solex worked well as an OEM carb 30 years ago, but with 30 years of wear and lack of parts supply, they are normally avoided. OER, are supposedly not too bad, but will be interesting to see if they have the same staying power as the Weber or Dell'orto bodys.
